FOUNDER | GIA COACHING CONSULTING

Warm, practical, and evidence-based therapy for adults and couples ready to heal, grow, and create meaningful change.

Welcome

Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. I
am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults and couples experiencing anxiety,
depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief, stress, self-esteem concerns, and major life
transitions.

My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, while also focused on helping clients develop
practical tools for lasting change. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard,
understood, and empowered to move toward the life you want. Whether you are navigating a
difficult season, facing a major transition, or seeking personal growth, I will meet you where you
are and help you build on your strengths.

MY APPROACH

I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, not an interrogation or a lecture. Clients often
Describe me as genuine, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I provide empathy and support, while
also being direct when needed and gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Growth often happens when we feel both supported and accountable.

My work balances compassion, honesty, insight, and practical problem-solving. Together, we will
explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and life
experiences. We will also develop concrete strategies you can use outside of session. I do not
believe in talking about the same problems week after week without working toward meaningful
progress.

Humor also has a place in therapy. While I take my clients and their experiences seriously, laughter
can create connection, offer perspective, and build resilience. When appropriate, I use humor to
help clients feel more comfortable and to remind them that even during difficult seasons, there can
still be room for hope.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN YOUR FIRST SESSION

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a comfortable, judgment-
free environment. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We will discuss what brought
you to therapy, explore the challenges affecting you now, identify your goals, and begin creating a
plan tailored to your needs.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling supported, understood, and more confident
about the therapeutic process. Together, we will begin defining what healing and growth look like
for you and identify practical first steps toward meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I believe every person already has strengths, resilience, and abilities that can help them overcome life’s challenges. In our work together, we’ll identify what’s already working, build on your existing skills, and use those strengths to help you navigate stress, relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My goal is to help you recognize your own capabilities while creating meaningful and lasting change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship difficulties. Together, we’ll explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and develop practical strategies to create healthier patterns and improve daily functioning.

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma can impact the way we think, feel, and relate to others long after difficult experiences have occurred. I provide a safe, supportive space to process trauma, develop coping skills, and work toward healing at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

Rather than focusing only on problems, solution-focused therapy helps identify goals, strengths, and practical steps toward change. We will focus on what is working, build momentum, and create realistic solutions that fit your unique circumstances.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Rather than focusing only on problems, solution-focused therapy helps identify goals, strengths, and practical steps toward change. We will focus on what is working, build momentum, and create realistic solutions that fit your unique circumstances.

My approach to therapy

I take a client-centered and strengths-based approach to therapy, recognizing that every individual brings unique experiences, challenges, and strengths to the therapeutic process. I integrate evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and trauma-informed care, to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative. Together, we will identify your goals, explore barriers that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you create meaningful change. My approach balances compassion and accountability, providing support while also helping clients build insight, resilience, and confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

Above all, I want clients to feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and my goal is to make the first session feel comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free. During our initial appointment, we’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brought you to therapy, exploring your current challenges, and identifying what you hope to gain from the process.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, stress, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll work together to understand your unique situation and develop a plan that feels meaningful and achievable.

By the end of our first session, clients often leave with a greater understanding of their concerns, a clearer sense of direction, and practical strategies they can begin using right away. Most importantly, my goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and confident that you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone
